About Turner Sign Painting
D&GT3 Jan 2011

Grady Turner started painting billboards in 1975 in the Dallas, Texas area. Through this experience he learned to replicate any graphic with a paint brush or spray gun, matching colors well, including flesh tones. This is a great benefit to go where digital printing cannot go, such as brick, wood, and highly textured walls. They moved into manufacturing smaller signs during the 1990s as the market turned toward computer-cut vinyl signs and printing, calling themselves Turner Signs in Kaufman, Texas.

In the year 2000, Grady and Dee purchased The Sign Guys, an established business in Crested Butte/Gunnison, Colorado area, changing the name to The Sign Guys and Gal! Operating a sign business in this ski resort and tourist area greatly added knowledge of quality and diversity to their skills. The year 2010 found them moving his mother to the warmer climate of San Angelo, Texas where clientele quickly grew as they reached out to businesses and school districts. Turner Sign Painting is a Woman-Owned, HUB Certified business.
